I’m so glad @lindaplaisted.bsky.social submitted to Complex Pictures — I’ve been trying to learn from her for years. This is “The Drowned God”, one of many pieces I’m excited to see in our show, opening soon as part of Collage-o-Rama, a @specialagentcollagecollective.com production. Opens Friday!
My piece The Mama Mary Altarpiece will be featured in the upcoming exhibition PHOTO AS OBJECT at Atlanta Photography Group.

Happy Earth Day- Something old stirring in a new series... Returning to the most ancient of roots
Thank you! I really appreciate that Leah
Thanks! I appreciate that
Thrilled to have my work in the latest issue of Phototrouvee Magazine
New work inspired by the deep Japanese reverence for Spring, especially the cherry blossom -sakura- season. The ephemeral nature of cherry blossoms, which bloom and fall so quickly, reminds us of the transient nature of life, prompting reflection and appreciation for the present moment.

Approaching my work as both artist & historian, I sort through the past, looking to our ancestors for clues to surviving the present, while also seeding the work with glimmers of hope for a better future; alchemizing the dark materials of despair into light.
Reworking found photos taken during the 30's & 40's in an occupied country at the time of a totalitarian regime to honor the strength and resiliency of the women who have always held the world together, picking up the shattered pieces, come what may. Empires rise, petty kings fall, but women go on.
New series- Superhero escapism can be particularly appealing during difficult times when we're all wishing someone would swoop in and save us. But what if we're the ones we've been waiting for? What if each of us doing one small right thing each day is the heroic deed that saves the world?

from The Lost Landscapes- a reprise of a series I did in 20 years ago before the loss of a child. Looking for the lost fragments of myself from a time before.

New series- "Pantheon" using my original photography layered with found photos, collage elements and collected ephemera to remind us that we are as brave and strong as Mother Nature herself. A goddess is nothing more or less than a symbol for who WE are at our wisest, most loving and most powerful.
