Timing update for Nebraska's first-round match:
The Nebraska-Long Island match will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of San Diego-Kansas State, whenever that ends.

So Nebraska could begin as early as 6:30 p.m. if the first match is a sweep.

Wayne State OH Delaney Miller was named the Central Region Freshman of the Year.

She was named 1st team all-region along with teammates MB Chloe Hanel and OH Channatee Robles. Nebraska-Kearney was represented on the 1st team by OH Emilee Lane and S Peyton Neff.

The NAIA Tournament kicks off today in Sioux City with pool play.

Concordia plays Dakota Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m.
Bellevue plays Bushnell (OR) at 7:30 p.m.
Midland plays McPherson (Kan.) at 1 p.m.

Outside hitter Shaye Witherspoon and setter Malorie Boesiger, 2027 Nebraska commits, were named first team All-American by MaxPreps.

PLVS libero Kami Dyrstad (Rutgers) also made the first team. Elkhorn North MB Reagan Wallraff (Creighton) was on the the second team.

Bergen Reilly was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and won her third straight B1G Setter of the Year award Tuesday.

“She’s obviously one of the best setters in the country... and she deserves all the recognition that she’s getting,” Harper Murray said.

Senior outside hitter Taylor Landfair and junior libero Laney Choboy were named to the second-team Big Ten.

Opposite Virginia Adriano earned a spot on the all-freshman Big Ten Team.

Senior defensive specialist Maisie Boesiger was Nebraska's sportsmanship honoree.

Bergen Reilly wins the Big Ten Player of the Year award. She helped the Huskers hit .352, which is on track to be a school record.

Reilly is the first setter since 2018 to win it and the first Nebraska player since OH Kelsey Robinson in 2013.

25 players made the first-team All-Big Ten, including nine unanimous selections.

The Nebraska honorees included Rebekah Allick, Andi Jackson, Harper Murray and Bergen Reilly.

Nebraska coach Dani Busboom Kelly is the Big Ten Coach of the Year.

She guided the Huskers to a perfect 30-0 regular season in her first year at her alma mater. NU went 20-0 in the Big Ten, while dropping just one set in league play.

Duke is the first opening at a P4 program after Jolene Nagel announced her retirement after 27 years with the Blue Devils.

Nagel won 717 matches in her career, fifth among active coaches. She won 4 ACC titles at Duke and reached the 2010 regional final.

Not many changes in the final edition of the 900 Square Feet media poll. Nebraska stays No. 1 followed by the same four teams. SMU was the big riser as it jumped 3 spots to No. 6. Louisville fell 2 spots to No. 9.

Nebraska ends the regular season the same way it started — No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Poll.

The Top 6 teams remained the same from last week. Louisville slid 2 spots to No. 9 as SMU and Arizona St moved up. No. 11 Creighton and No. 12 Purdue switched spots among other moves.

Nebraska earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and will start their postseason journey at home.

“New record, clean slate, every team is a brand new team. It's a new journey from here on out, and we know that,” Andi Jackson said.

Nebraska will play Long Island Friday at 7 p.m. at John Cook Arena.

San Diego (25-4) and Kansas State (17-9) will kick off the day at 4:30 p.m.

The winners will meet in the second round on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
