Escaflowne and Inuyasha were kind of the first to do that so they at least broke some grounds.

Also benefit from not being poisonned by gaming mechanics, which I feel have the nasty tendency to shut me out of the story.
It's why I struggle with Overlord for instance.

it's the laziest and shittiest way to create a fish-out-of-water protag.

Record of Lodoss War has its main protags homegrown and it works well to introduce the world.

Imma be real, the issue is that the US had a huge nazi platform before they joined the war (AFTER Japan attacked, btw, the US were content to let their allies rot otherwise) and never proceeded to do anything about it afterwards.

Nerscylla Clone's not been seen in the wild on my side, although I'd find it amusing if it did on rare occasions.

It has a quest where it is recreating the intro quest of TU3, minus the Omega Micros. Kinda cool, people had been wishing the Crystal Kulu quest would be replayable just because.

So far, it seems the FF collab treats the new small monsters as an occasional, very rare, spawn.

Also saw a small morbol strolling along the cliffs, but they are mentionned to be in almost all zones except the oilwell basin.

No Cactuar seen yet, the compendium mentions its seen in the plains

For some added context: Candace is framing it like this maybe because Macron's wife allegedly groomed him when he was still a minor (his parents did pull him out of her school for her behavior towards him so that's sus).
