I'm spitballing here, but maybe a "blocked by {DID}" label would be useful here, that would only hide the posts from uninvolved accounts instead. And moderation settings in the profile can be used to Hide/Show/Warn those posts by default.

This retains how it works for involved accounts too.
Or on tape, if tape is their longterm backup solution

I think a lot of people also fall into the mindset of:

"I don't have time to learn this, I'll be too old by then."

I know I've struggled with this too.
I think to me education is about both having the ability to make sense of the world, and the ability to shape it for the better.
