I hope I am wrong, but the crystal ball seems to indicate that the Republicans will lose big in Nov. 2026, Trump will declare election fraud and martial law with him as dictator while he investigates. How do we stop it?
How about we prepare a petition for every member of the House and Senate to sign indicating that they would oppose any attempt by anybody to set up a dictatorship in in the United States. How many wouldn't sign?
What scares me is that Trump continues to do what he wants: appoint idiots to the cabinet, send in masked storm troopers, etc. Liberals complain but Republicans never object. Will the object when he declares himself dictator?
Robert Reich says everything Trump has done so far is preamble to his ultimate goal: invoke the insurrection act, declare martial law, and become a dictator.
A modest proposal: instead of sending the people arrested by ICE to Africa and other places, just build some ovens and incinerate them on the spot. At the very least they should be given the choice of incineration or life in a horrible prison. It should save money and help with the budget deficit.
Question Now that Trump has military control of Washington DC, is there any one/thing that could prevent him from declaring martial law, disbanding Congress and setting himself up as dictator? I hope I am wrong, but with military control of DC, I think this becomes a real possibility. Thoughts?
