It’s a winter wonderland! Annie takes her walks rain or shine, so she ended up with quite a bit of snow accumulation on her head. Good thing cows are fuzzy heaters and don’t mind the cold.

Huckleberry is experiencing his very first big snowstorm today, and he is absolutely enchanted. ❄️ He keeps nibbling snow from the hemlock branches with such curiosity, as if he’s discovering a brand-new world.

Jenna loves nothing more than being close to me. If I kneel down beside her or sit quietly in the barn, Jenna will gently rest her head over my back or shoulder like a giant hug. Sometimes she leans all of her weight against my back, as if she’s saying, “This is my spot.”

I came out this morning and didn’t see Huck. He NEVER doesn’t come to greet us in the morning. Trying not to panic I started searching… and found him behind Annie sneaking some of the big girls’ hay while Jenna and Maisie were away.

Millie is back in the middle where she belongs. As a piglet she always insisted (loudly) on being in the middle. As she has gotten older she started sleeping behind them under the pillows. So it’s nice to see her back in her rightful place. 🐖🐖🐖
