It was John. There was no way to hide from the Jews. This holds even today. The only way to escape is to work with them. Unlike Jesus, the miracles of others were often concealed.

Jesus did not attain Nibbana. That's not the issue here. After Judas's suicide, 10 of his best disciples were brutally killed by the Romans, at the order of the Jews. The softest among them survived and became a pawn to the Jews. Jews forced him to write the Bible. 600 years later Muslims copied it.

Nicolas Notovitch, who claimed to have found a manuscript called the Life of Saint Issa, wrote about this. Additionally, the Apocalypse of Peter refers to Jesus being in India with Peter at the 13th Edict of Emperor Asoka. There is much evidence to prove this, but they don't like to say it out loud.
