Got an estimate for an upcoming surgery. $97,000 for 24 hour hospital, including operating room. $3000 for surgeon. My share, on Kaiser Medicare is $200.
What about uninsured people? Or even those with deductibles and 20% copay? That’s over $8000. Imagine the cost for a week in the hospital.

I have a disease, pulmonary fibrosis. It involves scarring of lungs until you suffocate. Normally 3-5 years, I’m at ten. A crazy expensive drug might give me another decade.
Today I had lung tests that actually showed improvement. Rare. Party time. 🥳

It’s amusing to realize that DJT media was 40.83 on January 14. It immediately started dropping when he was sworn in. It is now 11.07. A drop of 73%. Very reflective of his presidency.
