In MNL in January, I ordered something on LazadaPH that cost about 5 eur and it was at our doorstop in 7 days. Recently I ordered something that cost 10 eur on AliExpress and it was at my doorstep in the NL in 9. Something should be said about the infrastructural power that makes this happen.

"The crackdown has not only targeted movements in support of Palestine but has also served to test a broader transformation towards authoritarianism. A defining feature is the conflation with migration policy."
Is Germany sliding toward authoritarianism?

Germany’s unabated support for Israel’s genocide has been mirrored by a sweeping domestic crackdown on Palestine solidarity.

Our new report unpacks how this is reshaping the country and eroding wider civil liberties.

When dealing with migrants, "a worker is a worker is a worker" said a German old-timer trade unionist I spoke with some time ago. Well, not for the Dutch labour inspectorate, apparently. Undocumented and foreigner take precedence over "worker".

Cas Mudde spells out what has become largely the consensus among researchers: moving right on immigration will not weaken the far right nor strengthen social democracy. If your reaction is "but in Denmark" please at least familiarize yourself with Danish politics
