Blaming Democrats for these disclosures--they're bad guys for advising he's not ready to run for US Senate--is one of many holes he leaves.

Defeating Collins &holding 2nd district are the whole deal. The presentation of Platner & his soc media support are skillful. He has the phrases but there's also vagueness abt whether his experience fits w governing at US Senate level, or a good fit if his first-ever campaign is up against Collins

Even allowing for 'we all say dumb things' 'post military confusion a while', PTSD & letting off steam, he seems not yet jelled. Why US Senate as his 1st run? (Small town ME harbormstr & planning brd are appointed semi-volunteer positns.) His packaging is a little too evasive. (ME voter 4th gen)

The issue is who can defeat Collins.
Blaming 'oppo research' by Dems & how he brought the info out now b/c Dems were about to (implying doing it himself shows his honesty) is not the point. *Collins* and her use of it is the point. He's not solid enough to run for US Sen as his 1st political ordeal

Have the donors committed to pay more each time the estimate is exceeded (inevitably, and even more inevitable now). Or will the cost overrun eventually require tax money.

A licensed contractor is legally requ'red to have permits in place before start, not just take the client's word. The name given for this contractor seems to have a top rep. Did they accept a shifty promise/lie under pressure? Or did T get an unnamed outfit to start demo (a shifty developer trick)

Good point, and erasing the New Deal has been a goal for decades among his backers. (Like 1980 Libertarian VP candidate Koch's platform for the Pres. campaign.)

It's sick, period, but look they're in such a hurry they're not even saving windows or other pieces. The deadline-obedience of the destructive developer... for whom the asap endpoint to begin profit (aka 'donations' and secrets) is all that matters.
