Experts agree that 60% of children can benefit from phonics structure. Students that learn synthetic phonics between kindergarten and 3rd grade, can make up to 5 months of reading progress in a year.

I read books and practiced sight words with her that reinforced what we were learning, but I realized I wanted more for her. I wanted a story with characters that looked like her and focused on teaching her to read. That’s when the book series ‘Read with Joy’ came to life!

When my daughter was just 3 years old, I quickly saw how much she wanted to learn to read.

We would dive into activities together, focusing on word families and sight words because I believed she could start reading even at such a young age.
