Amorin doesn't want to be there. The interviews have been telling. Job is too big for him. He's waiting to get the bullet and the payoff. Be interesting who they go for next.
The introduction of Alcaraz turned that game. Even so, Palace could have killed the game with that Mateta chance. We got lucky today, but then again, we should have beaten Villa few weeks ago...so it swings in roundabouts
The accounts mocking the "Everton Da's" tongue and cheek comment about Keane playing up top instead of Barry. I ask this question, in all games we've chased where Keane has been put up top, would you agree he looks more of a PL striker than Barry?
It's no exaggeration to say that LFC have been pretty average in all their league games this season. Could quite feasibly be sat mid-table at the minute. The drop off from them has been huge. Salah looks way off it.
He's our Chris Wood ... who has been played out of position! Always an aerial threat. Thunderbastard goal v Spurs, decent footwork and goal v Palace. He has the attributes of an old school number 9.
The strikers are an issue. Both run lots but offer very little. That said, the service from key players was poor tonight...so you can't be too critical. Thought it was Grealish worst performance to date. Ndiaye poor. O'Brien struggled at RB. Disappointing. #everton#efc
Hmm I'm not convinced. He's young and raw...but what concerns me is his touch and decision making. Perhaps he'd see more of the ball with those three behind, but he's played with those before and still looks a bit lost. Again he's young and will likely improve, but he looks miles off it currently.
That said, the buck stops with Moyes. Starting lineup when it was announced raised questions. We don't have another game until Monday night, so plenty of time for recovery. Newcastle won this cup last season by playing their strongest side in pretty much every round. Really disappointing. #everton
We clearly looked better when the established players came on second half. That said, I don't think they covered themselves in glory. Yes, we were chasing the game...but some of the decision making and final balls were dreadful. I love Ndiaye, but his finishing and decision making at times is poor.
