So because my life isn’t complicated enough, my kid’s father has suddenly decided he wants to be in her life. She’s 23 years old. We haven’t seen him in 20 of those years. I don’t know what to do here. She’s an adult but also… still my kid. What the fuck.

So I remember everything about the days before my dad died; I remember the day clearly. But I don’t remember the day after, or even days later, at all. I think I was in such shock and denial, my brain blocked out those days.
