Today, Alpha v1.2.3 is released (along with a server version + hotfix), adding server-side health. This brings Minecraft survival multiplayer that much closer to full functionality (and therefore Beta). A fix for leaf decay not working is attempted, but results in an infinite loop crash.

Today, user metime00 makes a poll on which is better: Minecraft, or Dwarf Fortress (one of its inspirations). Despite being on the Minecraft Forum, Minecraft only narrowly leads. Interestingly, it appears that 10% of forum users have "never heard of" Minecraft.
