African crested tern is most likely of this tern at cockwood Devon. Bird so far away as pics show. A first for Britain if it is. #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

At one stage I had 7 species in this one small puddle & 20 birds !. Time I got scope set up cirl bunting & dunnock just sat up in hedge. Linnet,robin, chaffinch, goldfinch & greenfinch did come down. Much bigger puddles were around. At stantaway farm nr Otterton #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

Siberian day around East Devon,first stop colyton stw where 30 + chiff chaff including 2 Siberian also firecrest, redwing. Then meet up with middevonbirder at seaton for Siberian lesser whitethroat nice to catch up with Phil(seatonbirder) then found a brambling in local wood. #UKBirding #Devonbirds.

Cracking first day Norfolk mainly spent at horsey gap as wife wanted to see the seals.But flooked a pallid swift,Thanks to birder who shouted it out as I was taking pics of seals ! Also saw red throated divers,velvet scoters & field of Pink foot.Also this snow bunting at Bacton. #UKBirding.
On route to Norfolk we called in calshot to see this amazing Boat Tailed Grackle wow what a bird & I nearly ran it over as I pulled up coming from under another car 😯🙄 also saw a leutisic starling and a partridge that flew through boat yard.At Goatee Beach a scarlet ibis at distance. #UKBirding.

Was pottering about local when news the Pallas warbler was showing at Portland again (thanks Phil) so just went for it & at last had my 300th bird this yr.Brief view in between rain & even hail.No chance of pics but not worried as so relieved.Numbers game not for me I've decided. #UKBirding.

Had a relaxing morning around mutters moor & stantaway farm today,just had bins & phone so pics worse than normal !. Est 10,000 wood pige was amazing site in amongst them some fieldfares,redwing,crossbills & lots chaffinch.At stantaway farm 10 cirl bunting was best. #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

In atrocious conditions early this morning was risk going for w r sandpiper at Hayle but it paid off huge thanks to John & Mick (didn't get surnames) for spotting it fly in with 3 dunlin.Few mins later they were off down estuary. Soaked to bone but home by 11. #UKBirding #Cornwallbirds.
