Hello Blue sky 💙 let's have a good start here. My name is Sergei Panin, currently in Finland. I design, paint, model and relight environments! I love it so much that for hours talking about this topic to my students and on the internet. I hope to share more and let's connect
There are too many awesome people on bsky, so I will try to post here a bit more often. This is my current project on which I am working. Still an insane amount of work has to be done, but created this rough cinematic before my vacation in September. Now back to work with renewed energy 💪🏰 #ue5
This is illegal Christmas magic
I am feeling the best GA when there are 2 strong candidates and choice is not obvious. During this year it was a bit strange. I would not say there was an obvious decision , but can't say there was anybody who is really strong choice
I was thinking this is very fancy render for second :D
Happy to see you there! Was a bit worried when you left all the socials so suddenly

Heyo!

I’m a lead lighting artist @ nVidia. Previously Bad Robot Games and Naughty Dog.

I do #gamedev #lighting #artist things, mostly environments with some characters and occasional C++ shenanigans.

Former social media recluse, I am BACK. And I apologise in advance for all the things.
Only Unreal 5.5 feels like something proper for shipping and even it still has issues

Sometimes? I would say you never get enough as much as you like :D
Another day when you are happy that there are no updates for your army and your wallet is safe xD

The latest dekogon castle is not bad, but it is only a castle . Still a nice base for PCG experiments
This is the same modular kit which I did for my sigmarite church. Now I just expand the kit and create more variations
I am sure I will not have enough motivation to create the whole city, but layout started to feel pretty good
Four games I have worked on!
And all of them are great 🔥. Just replayed Batman Arkham Knight. Man, this light, this mood. Still not feeling old even single day.
Ruins are awesome 👍 Great work

Heyo! I'm a Senior Lighting Artist @ Cloud Chamber, working on the next Bioshock. Prev: Naughty Dog, Blizzard, Gearbox.

You'll find shitposts, #gamedev, books, my cats & the occasional art update here. 💙

Check out the #Lighting #Artist starter pack on my profile for cool people to follow!
When you have good modular system and good content it is pretty cool how many stuff you can assemble. I just started to explode my kit, but with 5.5 it's going pretty juicy
Started the same way from the first hades :D and then completely dig into it . Super addictive.
Well, they got the best ongoing award and their reputation back.
I agree that it was MUCH more than that, but it feels like the team is still proud of their work :) would be much worse if they got nothing at all

There is such a concept as cultural dimensions map in management. Was really insightful during management training. It is not "final truth", but give a lot of ideas why some things really different. Especially if the company not very international, like 80% native - 20% abroad.
