Just finished my #firstbookof2025, Isabel Waidner’s Sterling Karat Gold.
(I actually wound up one book short of my goal for 2024, but I upped my goal by 20% for 2025, anyway.)

Did you know that, in Stardew Valley, you can put cursed mannequins in the chapel, and they'll turn into regular mannequins overnight? It's true!
(You don't have to make it look like they're getting married for it to work; I was just having some fun with it.)

Sometimes I wished I could still mask the way I could before. Life wasn’t easier, but it was had a far simpler rules. Watch the way people around you behave, and behave that way when you’re around them.

I live about two blocks from my local library. I’ll go there sometimes to read my own books, just because the amount and type of noise is predictable, which keeps me calm.

Thinking back to that time, years ago, when a little old guy stopped me at the gas station to ask directions. As he was leaving, he handed me a business card he had prepared specifically to proposition fat guys for sex.

Did you know that the home stadium used in “Major League II” was not Cleveland’s Jacob’s Field, but rather Baltimore’s Oriole Park at Camden Yards, just rebranded for the movie?
The movie even features a shot of the Bromo Seltzer clock, and Boog’s BBQ! 🙂

I’ve always appreciated how thoroughly and passionately the Romulans embraced shoulder pads.
Monday morning, and being able to take actual action toward finding a job, has relieved a good bit of last night’s despair.
I’m going to be searching in the two areas I’ve lived in most (Piedmont NC and Central MD), but staying open to opportunities anywhere.
Heck, maybe I should try TX.
