Haven’t been updating here but Steph just finished her second iron man world championship in Kona, Hawaii. Absolutely insane achievement that took years of dedication and I’m sooooo so so proud of her!!

Taylor was in first until the last 5k of the run and then she walked an aid station; got some ice and collapsed not long after that, got passed by 2 other people

Lucy Charles-Barclay who won in 2023 was leading for a while, then got passed by Taylor Knibb (one of the youngest entrants, never won). LCB dropped out entirely while still in second, I think she got injured?

Walking off songs during practice can be beneficial for efficiency. If you're trying to get better overall you probably don't want to finish every single song if you're already having a bad run and are just going to waste energy. The only real downside is it builds the habit for tournaments.

I don't even know which locations are owned by the same person, I think he owns the east and west towne mall locations and one other? But I don't actually know which one. It wasn't really relevant since it was hours from me at the time.

Someone emailed the owner and they said they just kinda rotate the rhythm games randomly and don't even have a set schedule for when what will be where lol. Unfortunate, but it's not really predictable.

ok never mind la crosse is slightly further than 90 minutes from you, but it's also not a deluxe cab, is good, and is less than a dollar per song lol. Maybe not worth the drive unless it's actually confirmed to be there first though, which is sort of impossible to tell ahead of time :/

There's at least one public cab that rotates between the Castlecade locations, I think one of those is somewhat near you? There are two in madison (West and East Towne Mall) and then the other locations are Brookfield, La Crosse, Greendale

finally started playing through Ghost of Tsushima this weekend. My god, that game is so beautiful. I'm still glad I took a break and played some assassin's creed games after expedition 33 though, I still don't think anything could have held a candle to that.
