Another time he made a public call for help, he'd written software that he wanted to test on different versions of Windows, exchanged a few emails with him inviting him to my workplace, alas it turned out not to be. I remember him being a gent in our dealings. RIP David Thomas.

Damn. had a couple of dealings with David. Saw him twice, 1990 at the Marquee and 2006 at the Mean Fiddler (Stan Ridgway as support). At that gig Stan's merch man Bob got there first & took over much of the stand, when David arrived he joked about Pere Ubu being the headliners. Continued...

You're right, that's a little better. I guess the (parody) bank siege is the opening scene, I hope the rest of the film tries to be as charmingly silly as the original.

Really don't know, Naked Gun is my favourite, most watched comedy film. We'll see how I feel in August as to whether I go to see it in the cinema...

Top right, livery button with landowners coat of arms, experts could probably narrow it down. Below that halfpenny of George I, II, III? Small button in the middle? Does it have a shank on the back? The rest difficult to tell if anything particular. More photos needed, I'm a lapsed detectorist 🙂
