There's always a bit of pub chat on line 2011-15 NZ v 2019-23 RSA about who's the best. Much of it moot as both are happily double RWC winners. But the sheer consistency of NZ , 10 out last 13 TRC titles and near 90% win rate in all games ( 88%) during the 2010s has them a cut above imo.

Was working today so had half an eye on laptop watching test. Well maybe more than half
Enthralling game, Aus needed to match their defence with the power they had with ball in hand.
Ran out of road when they power left pack. Lions winning when misfiring/18pts down. JGP, Genge, Beirne pick of bunch

I think your summation is fair , I just think Scott is the guy you bring on for Maro , who is unlikely to come off.

Ryan coming off early is just a precaution in case McCarthy doesn't make it. If Joe's fit, Ryan won't be in 23 imo

Interesting to see some players being asked to do things outside their comfort zone, like Stuart filling that role out on the 15m channel. I did think the Lions missed VDF in that link role out wide at times. Adv of playing regularly with coaches system
