I’d rather the change is the six week holiday over winter instead of summer. Summer days are long enough to do stuff after school and work. In the winter the days are short and most people are ill anyway.
I’m not sure why, I didn’t need to, but I took that test. I think I was interested. Just checking I’m still autistic?!?!?! (I’m joking, I know it’s my neurotype!)

I scored 208.

I didn’t get my diagnosis of autism until I was nearly 41!!!
(Rule 114, for anyone wondering)
Pisses me off even more when people claim they can’t stop it. They can. Apply your E/parking brake manually. It’s a fucking small button/switch not even a manual lever like it used to be. 🙄
If you can’t stick to the Highway Code, stop driving.
And you still have a parking/E brake to apply that will turn off your brake lights. My car auto applies the parking brake. I then apply it myself when I’m stopped for longer e.g. at lights, in traffic etc.
The Highway Code states this should be done. It’s easier now than old style handbrake lever!
This is quite clearly someone who does not have PCOS/hirsutism and hasn’t spent every single day - no exaggeration - of their entire life from puberty onwards removing a rogue hair or several from somewhere it most definitely shouldn’t be growing. 🙄
At this point, I don’t think I care whether it’s BST or GMT, I just want it not to change twice a year!
Your wife/partner doesn’t already know, and hasn’t for all this time?!
Because despite an extensive survey, people only discover the bodges and dangerous electrics/plumbing after they move in and realise they have to go back to a shell to rectify years of a tightwad boomer who wasn’t prepared to fix anything safely and properly 🤷‍♀️
I was about to agree until I got to the part where you’ve made your own life better to the HUGE detriment of your wife. I can guarantee you have no idea how much additional mental load you’ve added to her probably already high mental load and how resentful she will soon be, if she isn’t already.
Who the fuck chose the puzzle pieces for the autism news piece on BBC South Today? 🤮
I understand why some people need to use them from an accessibility perspective… but voice notes come to me to die. As do voicemails, which I’ll only deal with if I can read the transcription, both cases due to my own accessibility issues.
Nothing quite like hosting three of your youngest son’s friends for his birthday to readily invoke overstimulation! 🙃😫

I deliver training online and in person. For my in person sessions I start with an icebreaker/warm up involving small LEGO sets, then tell my delegates if they learn better whilst fiddling/fidgeting, they’re welcome to use those same sets during the training!
They don’t actually want discipline. They want unquestioning compliance, no matter the cost.

Greggggggggggg Wallace can fuck off.

Using autism as an excuse for being a filthy, degrading, misogynistic bastard is beyond wrong.

It’s entirely possible to be autistic AND know how to behave around other people.
Purple hair… neon glow in the dark nails… living my best life 😁
Yep. I hate it. Nearly chewed through mouthguard. Often it’s bad at night that I wake with a migraine.
Also useful for holding a tub of ice cream. Perfect size for a tub of @benandjerrys.bsky.social

I think this week has been too much, and I realised too late. Wasn’t anticipating a meltdown this evening.
@susiedent.com do you know?
Is there a word, phrase, or concept that means “this behavior works (or at least gets overlooked) when only one person is doing it, but once more people try, it becomes untenable”?

I feel like there's got to be but I can't think of it.
Really concerning hearing Farage saying he wants an end to working from home and wants to get rid of DEI positions. More concerning are the people who think this is ok, or right, and have voted for Reform. Think back 80 years; have we learned nothing? 😭
