Great post 👀 ... got a lot of love for subgrid
✨ I just published a new post, and it’s all about one of the most mind-blowing new CSS features: subgrid.

Honestly, when I first heard about subgrid, I figured it’d be a convenient little utility. I had no idea it would solve one of the most longstanding issues I’ve had with CSS. 😮

Check it out:
Brand New Layouts with CSS Subgrid • Josh W. Comeau
Subgrid allows us to extend a grid template down through the DOM tree, so that deeply-nested elements can participate in the same grid layout. At first glance, I thought this would be a helpful conven...

Can’t wait to take this course, it’s been on my wish list for a while now!
PSA: Today's Day 4️⃣ of the Black Friday sale.

This is the lowest you can get the course for and it's for a limited time—next year's sales won't be the same.

Price goes back up on December 4th. ⏳

Hard to relate. In my 19 years in tech, I’ve seen very little change, even to this day.
A kind person just reminded me this video exists.

10 years ago I recorded a 4 minute video on why women leave the tech industry.

10 years later, I still stand by everything I said, and I’m so frustrated at how little the working environment has changed.

This is the content I’m here for 🤣
I've never really done video for anything before, so I tried out a couple of different intros for this while I was trying to figure out how to do all this in the first place. But, I dunno.

Wouldn't it just 🤩
this looks like it'd be darn tasty for some Design Systems work…

get sizes, colours, spacing, motion values from the parent and tweak them locally (e.g. --card-gap: calc(inherit(--gap) * 0.75)). Cleaner (fewer) tokens, fewer overrides, and smarter, context-aware components.
