Dr. Jalali noted that while Ireland was not a participating country in the study, the findings could be highly relevant and applicable to the Irish population.

Great to see LDCRC Principle Investigator Dr. Amirhossein Jalali featured in the recent Irish Independent article highlighting a new European study on prostate cancer screening.

A fantastic achievement and contribution to breast cancer research, well done, Kelsi! 👏

Her work was showcased at Young Researchers and Innovators on Immunotherapies: The Future is Now at the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Porto (IPO Porto) on the 25th of September, and again at the HRI Postgrad/Postdoc Event on the 2nd of October.

👏 Congratulations to PhD student Kelsi Gallati!

Kelsi, who is conducting her research under LDCRC PI Dr. Amira Mahdi, recently presented her poster “Optimizing parameters to improve pre-clinical models of estrogen receptor positive breast cancer” at two recent research events.

👏 Congratulations to Prof. Ruth Clifford, Clinical Director of the LDCRC, and the Cancer Clinical Trials at UHL on the opening of the MK2140-011 trial for Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL).

Another great step forward in advancing cancer treatment and research in the Mid West.

Under the supervision of LDCRC PIs Professor Aedin Culhane and Assistant Professor Amira Mahdi, Ahmad and Kelsi presented excellent updates on their impactful research.

We look forward to the next seminar in the series!
