TIL that USAmericans, at least in the 90s, don't consider "bollocks" to be a swear word. Quite a shock to hear the polite, if gruff, Dr. Hazlitt describe a road as "bollocksed up" 😂

"it's too nice a day to spend it awake" Seth Hazlitt you're a visionary

Binary trans people love saying that gender and sex are two different things until I use sex and gender as two different things and get called transphobic. I'm a female nonbinary guy but no one wants to hear any further than female

I would pay a lot of money for the full hour of Jess destroying a 90s shock jockey on a radio show. He's like a proto-alpha male. He said he educates himself through online data osmosis. What the fuck does that mean??

On this episode of "the writer's barely disguised fetish" we have #MurderSheWrote S9 E8, where Jessica visits a restaurant/bar/club/barn dance with attractive young waitresses who will feed you your meal bite by bite while giggling at you. I may not be into feedism but I know a kink when I see one.

Jessica Fletcher saying "I've found that those who feel they have something to prove never succeed in doing so" is a smack down on its own and then she follows it up with "my sleep is untroubled, Mr Evans, I wish you the same"?? Girl I love you #MurderSheWrote

I'm loving the number of #MurderSheWrote episodes with our favourite deputy Floyd. He's so sweet and positive.

I love the way she's looking at him like she can't believe the audacity of trying to play a character to the detective when he knows she knows they met the day before and he was not a car salesman from out of town

Turns out bigoted cishets really don't like it when you refer to their "straight marriage only stick to gender roles etc" bullshit as their agenda. Who knew?

I'm back on #MurderSheWrote (S5E21) and so far, the Eudora character has been incredibly unpleasant. She starts off telling her husband to choose between her and his son, then invites herself to stay with Jess and proceeds to insult Cabot Cove repeatedly and relentlessly.

I'm doing all the things I'm supposed to do to feel better. I've deleted most social media and replaced it with embroidery. I'm cutting down on sugar (you can pry caffeine from my cold dead hands). I sit in the sun. I eat as much fruit and veg as possible. So why am I still always sick with anxiety?

Wishing you a good morning from today's Daily Planet, Earth. At least I think it's Earth. Hopefully I didn't get abducted by aliens and taken to another planet in my sleep. Again.

The fact we have to tell people "if they do it to us they could do it to you" to make them care about minority discrimination is so depressing. Do people really not care about things unless they're directly affected?

Ma'am did you do your makeup in the dark this morning? Why are you so white (omg you can't just ask why people are white)

I think the thing that trips me up about scams is I could never imagine deliberately lying to a person just to trick them, or to get something from them. My Catholic guilt and hand-me-down anxiety won't let me so I assume everyone else is the same. It's very upsetting to learn otherwise.

"I've got a new show to pitch. 5 little street kids, yknow Black, white, yellow, assorted colours..." Murder, She Wrote I know you're trying to lay it on thick that this guy is an asshole but cmon

I've been playing this game called Land Builder and it's super cute I can't get enough of it. This isn't a paid ad I just really like it lol. The only issue I have w the gameplay is that sometimes tiles go invisible but it's not that disruptive. I wish there was a freeplay option, but overall 9/10

Authors, when you decide to make up slang for your future-set books, make sure to Google the slang before it gets printed. "Insulated johnnies" cannot be used to mean thermal long johns, even in the year 2061. Every reader in the UK will giggle like school children.

Jessica Fletcher: Detective, if you'd let me sit in on the interview to observe a real homicide detective work, I promise I won't say a word

Madam you are a bald faced liar and I love you for it

Having Rob Lowe turn up to the station listening to Whip My Hair and immediately start talking about hair loss prevention and prostate health in the SECOND EPISODE of #911LoneStar is incredible and I love everything about it. I don't care if it's cheesy I want it to be real.

Watching #MurderSheWrote again and it's the episode with the watchdog-esque TV show that comes to Cabot Cove but the anchor gets blown up. They're so rude about CC and I'm irrationally mad about it. "A jerkwater town where even the crickets die of boredom" how dare you?!

I know the writing in #EveDallas books by J.D. Robb is supposed to reflect the way language has changed between now & 2061 when the book is set but it still knocks me for six when a police officer refers to a suspect "developing a hard-on" for a victim. That phrase does not mean "holding a grudge".
