After being bullied for her smarts AGAIN, Cal goes home to cry in her dad's failed teleporter. But then it actually works. Kinda. She's going to need all her brain power, a little toxic dihydrogen monoxide, and a few new friends if she ever wants to get back home.

Me too. This is year 20 for me. I don't need the nanowrimo website anymore. I run my own club at the school where I work.
I've been doing a NaNoWriMo Club at my school and I can't tell you how many students constantly ask when it will start. I have over 70 students signed up for this year. I don't need the website anymore, I've got my own way now, but it's nice to know other people are out there!
Anyone else in?
There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's the return of my beloved Nanowrimo. 🥹
NaNo 2.0 is LIVE. We're so glad you're here, because #NaNoWriMo is only 30 days away. Hope you're ready to write! ✍️ nano2.org #WritingCommunity #NaNo2point0
Absolute pantser, but trying to at least have a semblance of an idea of character arch this year, because that didn't happen last year!
I'm still doing it! Year 20 of writing a novel in November!
Me too! I just found @nano2point0.bsky.social Not sure what that's like yet. It's my 20th year writing a novel in November, so I'll do it regardless, but yeah, the community is nice.
Ella Enchanted is my favorite favorite! I’m currently reading it to my 10 year old son. I wasn’t sure if it would be too romantic for him but I think he’s enjoying it so far!
I also loved the Dark is Rising! I first read it in school in 5th grade and have read it many times since!
I really enjoyed this book! I liked the first one better than the two sequels.
I would probably tell my younger self not to burn out and take a 10+ years hiatus. I should have kept querying then, because it was easier in a way. But even if my past self would have listened, I’m a much better writer than I was then.

TOPIC: What professional or creative advice do you wish you could pass on to your younger self? (And would your younger self listen?!?) #kidlitchat
@youngteenlit.bsky.social how can I get involved? I’m an elementary school librarian, but I’m also a writer, and I wrote a story perfect for this age group. Young teens have much different reading needs than MG and YA can satisfy.
