The agents/editors looking for something specific will use the hashtags DV Pit provides, but you could add extras to the side as extra descriptors. My guess is they’d have less impact though than being in the body of the pitch.

I was also going to ask about blerd, then realized I’d seen it used by a writer friend before after you explained. Agree it would be good to expand out. This one is so fun it might benefit from an emoji or two, as they boost engagement :)

Intriguing! Consider adding what the stakes are if they don’t reunite. Is there a choice he is forced to make? Does the father have an emotional wound that gets in the way of connection? Perhaps fear of rejection for being ill? Just some ideas :)

Love a story where a noble must pretend to be poor. Consider cutting proper nouns since there’s no space to explain them. Instead, you could share something unique about the magic. What choice does your character have to make? What are the stakes beyond being slaughtered?
