Yes, more Garland bashing, please.
Should this actually happen, I won’t feel sympathy for the networks.
I can’t seriously answer your serious question, but I’m going to go with they’re “dumb enough.” Certain folks with certain values and political leanings can’t draw logical conclusions because their logic is of the Swiss cheese variety—full of holes.
The stupidity is such that I don’t know if I find this more laughable than pathetic or vice versa.
Heh. Jokes aside, though, I don’t get the excitement on the left about the Epstein files. The Felon’s cultists will explain it all away. Do folks think 47 is going to resign—exiting the White House with his head bowed in shame, or something?
Wow. This is invigorating. Maybe I don’t need to leave the US after all.
Obama did not leave with Biden no option but to make Garland AG. That’s on Biden alone. So not a “decent point” in my book. But I get it. Biden’s failings have to be the black guy’s failings, too—for some people.
Maybe I’m not being clear. I’m agreeing with you. The writer I refer to is not a dualist. He was offering an explanation for why people still believe in the immaterial despite instruments showing us how the brain works. He thought it was because we don’t feel the brain at work in our bodies.
Yes. I once saw it described (on rationalwiki, maybe?) like this: the dualist position exists because the brain can not detect itself. It doesn’t feel its levers and gears (brain activity) working, in contrast to the way we *can* feel our hearts beating or lungs expanding.
Who is the “we” that can/should act on this? If a moral or legal scandal could bring the Felon down he wouldn’t be back in the White House now. Biden’s DOJ was an abject failure and here we are. Our best hope is probably a heart attack, anything fatal, and maybe the cult’s fever will break.
What you describe is why I’ve never been one for reaching across the aisle, meeting them where they’re at, finding common ground, etc., etc….
Fuck the people who get mad over this…
Was about to post something very similar to this. LOL
A perfectly valid and non-satirical question, if you ask me.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we aren’t even talking about the Files a month from now.
One of my favorite moments in Superman (2025). Has sneering, sociopathic, social dominance orientation ever been captured in a single expression so well?
