Hiking in the Southern Oregon mountains yesterday and came upon this gorgeous old madrone tree. I love it when they grow from a central one that has either been cut or died. A whole different kind of fairy ring! They can be 800 or so years old in the root system evidently! #trrees #nature #oregon

At this time of year many people think about getting a pet for Christmas. I really want to encourage you to find a pet at a shelter or a rescue. So many healthy and young animals are euthanized for lack of a home. I can tell you from decades of experience that 2nd hand dogs (or cats ect)are great
