Yeah, one of my in-laws is my age and she was also denied the shingles vaccine due to being too young despite already having it. I have to watch what I eat and I can’t drink alcohol because they’ll reoccur.

Yeah I had no idea it fades after 10 years, so I’m glad I got it redone. I ended up getting the shingles though a couple years ago and I was denied the vaccine because I’m too young despite already having experienced it.

Before I became a child caregiver on Camp Pendleton I was required to be checked for existing vaccines and I found out my chicken pox and measles ones faded after 10 years, and I’d never had a hepatitis shot before that day. Because of that, I never got sick, nor did any kids.

I honestly probably wouldn’t be here if my parents were anti-vax. Protecting your child in hopes of also protecting others—what’s so bad about that? Kinda makes me mad tbh.
