The US system is totally and completely dominated by money which keeps a 2 party system going and each do the bidding of their donors. That happens here to some extent but not nearly like the US

Slavery wasn't mentioned but of course it was so expensive that only the super rich could afford it and much of their money came from that trade. What was interesting to me was when it was first seen in Europe they had only used earthenware and pewter crockery which was bulky and indelicate.
