No guarantees from US Secretary of State AUKUS will proceed. But we can't afford to wait for AUKUS to fail (this year, next year, in 10 years). We need to change course and insist on an independent, anti-militarist, non-nuclear foreign and defence policy.

Fantastic to see the Electrical Trades Union in QLD & NT calling for the Australian government to withdraw from AUKUS. The ACTU and the labour movement must get behind the campaign against militarism, for decent jobs that are for peace, not war.
