What I’m getting is: ‘racists want the right to be racist, so we need to protect that for democracy’

They think the majority of people are racist. They also think this is fine.

Happily the ‘especially young men’ has not gone unnoticed by most 👀
Get new comms people, Capt.
When buying a house is unattainable and jobs are disappearing, it's no surprise young people think they can’t succeed, especially young men.

It's not their fault. It’s Washington’s fault for allowing the middle class to be hollowed out just to make rich people richer.

Leavitt’s citizenship comments clash with SCOTUS

Karoline Leavitt: “You’re either a U.S. citizen or not — You can’t be a U.S. citizen & a citizen of another country.”

The Supreme Court: It ruled in 1967 that the government can’t strip U.S. citizenship unless a person voluntarily relinquishes it.

Don't be fooled by their claims to be 'heartbroken'. The decision both @womensinstitute.bsky.social and girlguiding have made to exclude trans-women and girls from their organisations is not required by law. The law may be frustratingly unclear in this area, but it is clearly *not that*.

"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor of the House of Representatives, and we know that's the case."

This is a flat-out 100% lie from @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and he knows it. Impeachment resolutions are privileged, they can force a vote at any time.
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

I am a little tired of being yelled at for this but apparently not tired about: heroin addiction is not RFK’s problem. He’s a sociopath. Most addicts aren’t. Honestly, walk into an NA meeting, grab the first person with a few years to be head of HHS and they’d probably do a better job than Bobby.
This is what happens when you put a privileged, 14 year heroin addict in charge of health. Duh

I’d say this is unbelievable, but then I’d have to ignore the past 10+ years of how the BBC has bent over backwards both-siding things to the benefit of the corrupt.
Wow. BBC journalists are now not even allowed to report the censored line from my Reith Lecture, that Trump is “the most openly corrupt president in American history.”

You can hear how carefully they’re forced to tiptoe around it. So chilling...

What’s the most significant advice you received from a teacher?

I had a Geology prof who always said “have strong opinions, loosely held”

Be passionate, assess alternatives with conviction, take sides. But don’t fall so in love with your opinions that you can’t change them with better data.

I think this means that too many Labour MPs now own £1.5mn houses. Since they think of themselves as ordinary people it follows that a tax that hits them will hit “ordinary people”.
I sometimes feel like I am going mad.

Owning a £1.5m home is not normal in London or the South East of England.
