💡 Did you know, one in four students on Turtle Island (the US) risked missing school because they couldn't access period products?

Students face enough challenges in school as it is, accessing menstrual products shouldn't be one of them.

We're always thankful for our teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, guardians, and other trusted adults involved in the lives of the students we support with period care, but today we're extra grateful 🫶🏾

One in four students on Turtle Island (US) is currently experiencing period poverty---and Indigenous students are disproportionally affected by period poverty.

Ending period poverty is something we must do together. Join The Kwek Society in putting a stop to period poverty on Turtle Island.

Did you know that some Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island (the US) use "moon time" to refer to a period?

It acknowledges the power & connectedness to the natural world of one's menstrual cycle, as well as the coincidence of the respective lengths of an average menstrual cycle and a moon cycle.
November 7, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Start your morning tomorrow with a full moon! 🌝

At 8:19AM ET, the giwsé-gises (hunting moon) will be at its fullest! One of the moons of the dgwaget (fall) season, the giwsé-gises marks the beginning of hunting season for many Indigenous peoples.

Period care is a right, but yet, many Indigenous students face significant barriers to accessing period products--even missing school because of it.

Together we can change that. Every pad, every tampon, every effort counts toward dignity, equity, and ending period poverty.

Menstruators are not bluetooth devices!

Did you know that periods don't sync with others nearby? That's a complete myth since each period is dependent on the menstruator's own hormones.
