New filter case on top of old one. I hate when companies save by using same sized cases for all filters. Big cases take too much space on small bags. Technically new case is not a case but I need to store filters with front and back covers if I want all of them to fit into bag. #Photography

Got my first circular polarize today. It cuts reflections from windows and water and such. Effect isn't as huge as I expected. It is useful though. I have wanted to take this kind of photos. Now I can. Don't know if I keep the filter on all the time or just when I need. #Photography

Kaipa tässä on alettava käymään salilla, jotta saa virike-edun käytettyä ennen kuin kortti suljetaan. 😐 Toinen vaihtoehto olisi ollut Tuskan VIP ja jotain muuta, mutta Tuskassa ei ole ollut oikein mitään kiinnostavaa viime vuosina. Tuleepahan kokeiltua kiinnostava sali "ilmaiseksi".

Etätyöt eivät ankeuta Helsingin keskustaa. Sitä ankeuttaa jatkuvat työmaat ja niiden umpisurkeat järjestelyt ja liikenne järjestelyt yleensäkin. Näiden valittajien pitäisi joskus yrittää kävellä Helsingin keskustassa ennen kuin avautuvat siitä mikä heidän mielestään on keskustan ongelma.

Okay. Gemini was wrong. Correct Affinity was Photo for Clip Studio Paint replacement. Both have persona for drawing but Photo have more painting related features.

Why digital painting software is such scam? Corel is even worse. They install all kind of crap to your computer with their software. If you buy cheaper versions of their software you can't even turn off their adds. You get Corel's adds even when you are not using their software.

You all hate GenAI but Gemini saved me some money suggesting me to use Affinity Designer I own. It is probably not as good as Clip Studio Paint but I don't want to give any more money to CSP and AD should be enough for what I am doing.

For all the other software I could find license keys. Even on their site when I log in. Not with Clip Studio Paint. If I want to use it on new computer I have to pay for upgrade again. So much for pay once use forever. I don't want subscription and this perpetual license is total BS.

New computer. Old was fine but support for Win10 is ending and it couldn't be ungraded to 11. Things I learned today. Clip Studio Paint hates you and wants your money. They didn't send me license key when I upgraded it last time. Now I can't use version I should have license for.

Got the last modules for this version of the system. Life forms modules will probably go soon but I don't want to spend too much this time. Yes, there is a reason why there is 8 HP module next to mmMidi. One which most likely will be replaced soon 🙄 #SynthSky #Eurorack

I have one system with most of the audio modules being stereo modules (XPO, QPAS, X-PAN, XOH, DXG, Doepfer's stereo filter and Tallin which can be used as stereo VCA). All patches require more patch cables and some modules are annoying to calibrate because stereo. Mono signal path is simpler.

I guess I have to play Age of Wonders 4 now. First two of these expansions sound interesting. I got the game and first set of expansions when Lovecraftian one was released.

One stereo system is enough for me. I don't want to go polyphonic with eurorack. It gets pretty expensive pretty fast and you are limited with what you can do with those systems. What Make Noise is doing is something that is hard to do with anything else but it is too expensive for what you can do.

In the other hand this would make system with these modules different than other systems you might own. Which is positive if you can afford several systems with one dedicated to very specific kind of experimental music.

Their previous modules were more universal. I constantly figure out new ways to use them. I don't get that same feeling from these new ones. Putting these modules in normal system doesn't make much sense. You have to have system designed for these modules. It is cool they try something new though.

I like Make Noise but last module I was really excited about was DXG. I think their new modules are designed for very specific style of music and nothing else. No other modules are designed for this kind of polyphonic music. It is just this one weird polyphonic music you can do. #SynthSky #eurorack
