can you imagine how tight bayo3's level design could have been if the post-botw open world virus didn't take over every game dev's mind and it was developed from the ground up as a chapter-based game

i think i'm better than a lot of people at like removing my biases when judging art cuz i did not have a great time playing starfox64 but i still came out of it like It's not for me but that was actually a masterpiece i think

after watching it i have kind of the same feelings as i do on daikatana. definitely bad but too overhyped as a bad piece of art. I think both of them gained their reputations because people expected different from them - which tbf both of them promised they would be something they aren't
i also got dragonball evolution and when i went to pay the guy was like "found something good then?" and i was like "no this movie is garbage. but i would like to buy it"

firing an actress for drinking alcohol at age 19 is gormless as hell but i guess japan will stay resolute against the most minor drug offenses even if the drug would be legal for someone to take in <1 year

refering to ps2 and windows vista games as older hardware doesn't feel right but also the hardware being sold these days is mostly incompatible with the discs that software for those systems generally released in. so

speakinggg of games for older hardware: anyone have experience running a cd-dvd game with the hardware reqs of windows 2000/xp/vista on a modern pc running w11 through an external disc drive? should that be able to run natively or would it be best to copy the iso and run in a vm or smth

i feel like mario rpg-style action commands have been adopted in quite a few turn-based rpgs but the press turn system from smt seems pretty much confined to the smt series. is this like a trademark thing or something or does anyone know other games that have press turns?
