Do NOT internalize the industrial model. You are NOT one of the myriad of interchangeable pieces, but a unique HUMAN BEING, and if you’ve got something to say, SAY IT, and think well of yourself while you’re learning to say it better -David Mamet #blacksky

Your daily reminder that capitalism is inherently exploitative, alienating, unstable, unsustainable, and creates massive economic inequality. It commodifies people and diminishes the value of human life. It’s anti-democratic and leads to an erosion of human rights
To bind up the nations wounds. To care for him who shall have borne the battle. And for his widow.. and his orphan.. to do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations

With malice toward none. With charity for all.. with firmness in the right as god gives us to see the right let us strive on to finish the work we are in.
As was said 3,000 years ago so still it must be said “the judgements of the lord are true and righteous altogether”
Yet, If god wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman’s 250 years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword.
Fondly do we hope,
Fervently do we pray,
That this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away,

It makes me SICK to be forced to watch a genocide take place. #freepalestine
Destined to be killed from the inside by the ROT that is the truth… the truth that, no matter how idealistic, or brave, or innovative a nation can be. Any nation that is founded on the exploitation and blood of another people, will fail in the end…
I wanted to believe that we could, as Lincoln said given into “the better angles of our nature”. I wanted to believe that it was possible that we as a people could, in spite of our flaws, create a better world. But these were just the idealistic dreams of a young man…
Perhaps that was always there. Perhaps our failure to have meaningful reconstruction in the south after the Civil War meant this would be the investable conclusion. Perhaps we are still to this day paying for this nations original sins of Slavery and Genocide.
The United States at one point prided itself on its ability and willingness to do the right thing. Even though its had its problems, standing up for freedom, and independence was seen as a founding characteristic of our nation.

Holy shit. Republican Harriet Hagemen got torn apart at a town hall in Wyoming last night. In a state that voted for Trump by 46 points.

She tried defending DOGE and it went as well as you’d imagine.

“Deport Elon, Deport Elon!”

Watch to the end…
To anyone who honestly believes that a single presidency doesn’t have an impact on the lives of every day Americans I would direct your attention to my home state of Kentucky
so this is how liberty dies..? with the stroke of a pen…
I was in high school during the Arab Spring when Assad used indiscriminate violence to stop protestors.
Thinking about the significance of Deny, Defend, Depose. It was important enough to engrave on individual shell casings.

lots of americans understand how their healthcare system is fucked up but if americans collectively understood just how fucked up their healthcare system is compared with other countries there would be a revolution tomorrow
The phrase “may you live in interesting times” is such an underrated insult. I’m so sick and tired of living in “interesting times”
Probably gonna get on steamdeck and play dragon age or uncharted
