I have over 20 records requests that are overdue. These are legislated timelines that say the government must release the records in your request by 45 days. This is consistently being ignored.
For example: On July 7 I requested Richard Madan's salary and a breakdown of the Washington office budget. Over 100 days later and I still don't have this record. A spokesperson released his salary to us last week, but we are still waiting on the rest. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

“Newly released report” is not the way a media outlet should cite a report they obtained by asking gov’t for a copy another media outlet got by filing a FIPPA. Give credit where credit is due.
In Alberta — the only other province that has paper cards — a 2015 AG report said the lack of expiry dates on Alberta health cards leave them open to abuse, meaning the province could be paying for health care of ineligible recipients.

Did you know that Manitoba regulates the cost of 1L milk? It has a max cost between $1.93-$2.10. This weekend, Walmart suddenly jacked the price to $2.88. Once CBC started asking questions -- they brought the price back to the set maximum.
