"Choose your heroes very carefully and then emulate them. You will never be perfect, but you can always be better." - Warren Buffett, today in his farewell letter as he leaves the CEO post at Berkshire.
I think all you need to do to decipher Trump is to understand if a person controls $$. The Mamdani visit makes this clear -- no matter what you say to/abt Trump even in front of him doesn't matter. In the end. if your post wields/affects wealth, you are IN! See: MBS, Starmer, Carney, Macron, Modi.

For anyone bemoaning the chummy Mamdani - Trump ‘positivity’ today (on either side) you need to take a deep breath. ZM and his comm team did a fab job prepping and executing. If you haven’t been to [formal/pro] media training you have no ability to score how the event in the Oval was handled.

The #SNL McGruber piece says it all. If you are on the #Epstein list or you speak against those who are clear...and actions speak louder than words. The #potus must step down.

Sick. Just turns your stomach.
Dershowitz: The predecessor on your show described Epstein as a convicted pedophile. He pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. That’s not a pedophile.

This is off our our internal station module (also live on the website). So we started the day with a low just below freezing and now it has warmed to 70°F. CRAZY for mid-November in #Minnesota! #mnwx #weather #climate

Human beings have always felt real weird about the prospect of human flight - but of course, we spent thousands of years trying to do it anyway.

Read my latest about flying necromancer kings, ancient Taoist wind-riders, and what they’ve got to do with drones here:
The Three Dreams You Need to Make a Drone: The Fear and Fantasy of Flying
There is something deeply rooted in our psyche that is both appalled and fascinated by the prospect of a human being flying like a bird, by this act that is both deeply unnatural and has also become, ...

Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) hopped on his Harley to get in on the performative game MAGA is playing with forced airline cancellations and threats against ATC professionals. Nevermind that he resides within a 2-hour road trip of three airports that would get him to DC just fine.

NO WAY!? Not to mention it hasn't received either a price tag or a funding request, for which Congress would have to then approve.
Secretary Duffy confirms earlier @theaircurrent.com reporting that a common automation platform for the “brand new” ATC system will most likely take longer than the 3 year timeline he has set for the rest of the modernization project. theaircurrent.com/air-traffic-...
The ‘brand new’ ATC system might not be as new as you think

Pritzker FTW.
Gov. Pritzker: “All I can say is that whether it was the loss in the elections a week ago that's led to Donald Trump deciding to pull CBP out or the fact that Greg Bovino is a snowflake…Whatever it is, the people of Chicago have deserved better than having CBP and Greg Bovino in this city.”

Oh no. Who gave SCOTUS the wrong numbers? Will that person be fired?

Also: If entering into a tariff regime that would have to be litigated created the possibility of America not being "sustainable" then maybe they were unwise?
Oh, so he totally stole the money

@jfallows.bsky.social I didn’t know you were a T. D. Mischke fan!
On the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, I always think of T. D. Mischke's '90s radio interview with a historian, who Mischke surprises by *singing every question* to the Lightfoot tune. The historian gamely gives straight answers! (at 8:00) www.mischkemadness.com/audiofiles/t...
For many years I assumed that the Edmund Fitzgerald song was about a shipwreck in like, 1843. But Gordo wrote it the month after it happened! News you can use.

The President wouldn't last five minutes as an air traffic controller, and after everything they've been through - and the way this administration has treated them from Day One - he has no business shitting on them now.
November 10, 2025 at 4:53 PM
Do we want safe skies or do we want to support professionals who need to take care of themselves and their families? DJT could not care less about the health or wellbeing of our air traffic controllers. Notably: shutdown is NOT over, controllers have yet to get paid, FAA still forcing cancellations.
Trump to air traffic controllers: "For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK"

More facts:
Opening the government with no concessions from GOP merely to alleviate airline cancellations - when Congress has been dragging its feet for years on chronic FAA staffing issues - is a lame ass choice.

Also, doing it while the House refuses to work is appalling.

Correct. They aren’t certified. In fact they use similar but different systems, procedures, and more. Hegseth and Duffy are showing their true colors…Fox News hosts who don’t know a damn thing about what they have been placed in charge of, let alone what they are even talking about.
Sean Duffy: "The secretary of war texted me yesterday and said, 'I might have some air traffic controllers. If you could use them, I'm gonna offer them to you.' I don't know that I can, Jake, because they're not certified in the airspaces that we need them. But if I can, I'm going to use them."

Amazing read. First in a series @faineg.bsky.social is writing about how humanity came up with drones.
How the inventor of the printing press made souvenir mirrors that could "store" the holy essence of relics!

Magical Persian goblets of yore!

These all relate to drones, really - read my latest:

Absolutely irresponsible by @axios.com to say that Kimberly-Clark's acquisition of Kenvue (who makes Tylenol) is "a gamble" due to comments by Trump and RFK Jr. First off, any $40B M&A deal is a "gamble". Second, the MSM (including Axios) needs to STOP PLATFORMING MAGA/MAHA bullshit!
