Remember when Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski told a room of nonprofit leaders “we are all afraid”? Then in July, she cast the crucial yes vote for Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” hoping to stay in his good graces. I wonder how she feels today, with Alaska underwater and no help coming.

I was mystified at first why they wouldn't send help to a red state like Alaska...and then I found out the people affected were indigenous, so of course they couldn't give a shit.
