In case anyone wonders, this is bad for Wilders. He has been begging for his supporters to show up, since he’s highly dependent on low turnout voters. Lower turnout thus benefits GL-PvdA and D66: those two rely on voters with high voting voting discipline.

Because CDA has ruled out PVV since the first Rutte government collapsed in April 2012. Their current leader has doubled down on this and actively campaigned against PVV participating in a government ever again.

If this poll is correct, VVD lacks the seats/power to block a coalition with GL-PvdA

PVV, CDA, VVD, JA21 is politically impossible: there’s only a theoretical chance if PVV gets 35+ seats (which they won’t, their campaign isn’t working). And even then, it’s very unlikely.

Instead, this election is heading towards a D66, GL-PvdA, VVD, CDA government under a new Prime Minister Jetten

Having a game crash on your sucks obviously, but that can happen. However, you’re spot on about the ludicrous plot twist. That one is just a failure of world building. I also dropped the game at that point after being impressed initially
