If you’re a man on here who only follows women, you’re getting blocked.
Love this man.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Hi! So, I’ve been working on the final wholesale order of the year. It’s for a new LYS! More details to come on that. I have also gone through the Clearance section of the site and cleaned it up so that it’s easier to see what is left there. And, I’d like to remind you of gift cards! Links below. 🧶🧶

As we mourn Rob Reiner, don’t skip this: he was, pretty much, personally responsible for overturning California’s Prop 8 banning same sex marriage.

Gift knitting is done and I’m working on a project for myself. Hats tend to look terrible on me, so I’m giving a good a try. This is the My Jose Hood pattern in my Mochi DK—Periwinkle colorway. I think it’s going to be so nice and warm with the scarf tied around the neck. 🧶🧶🧶

Worked on the dough and the fig filling for these cookies. I’m making them mostly for my MIL so she can tell me how they’re not right. 😂😂

It’s a lot easier to deal with her now that we are several states away.
Cuccidati
These Cuccidati (Italian Fig Cookies) are fantastically festive with a snowy white glaze and colored sprinkles. Take a bite and you know it's Christmas time.

Are you all ready for this? I finished the Lucky Dog Sweater (Pattern by Sole Salvo for Purl Soho) and the way it fits Duncan is incredible. He looks like a sleek model of a dog walking around the neighborhood. The fabric is warm enough to keep him nice and cozy. Highly recommend this pattern. 🧶🧶🧶

Consumed two emotionally devastating works recently. Hamnet (book) was excellent. I saw a lot of criticism online that it was boring but I am a big fan of a novel that doesn’t rely on a galloping plotline if the writing can stand up to it. Gorgeous writing, words so carefully selected. Loved it.

Since I’ve been on a gift making streak, I decided Duncan (my sweet pup) needs a new sweater. He has hair rather than fur and is prone to matting/felting if he wears a dog sweater too long. I’m using a mostly silk yarn held with a merino strand for this. Hope it helps in that aspect. 🧶🧶🧶

Oh, I’m to the very sad part of Hamnet now.

Hm. Not sure why the photo is cropped like this here on Bluesky, but I have too much work to do today to worry about it. I made two hats from my HUNTR/X and Charcoal colorways on Stroopwafel. I think I want to put pompoms on them before I ship them off as gifts. What do you think? Pattern below!🧶🧶🧶

Thank you for the help when I was trying to figure out which border I would like to put on this granny square afghan. I settled on single crochet for a few rows and then crab stitch. However--I hated the "going backwards" part of crab stitch, so I kind of made my own version of it. 😬 🧶🧶🧶#crochet
