Do you ever wake up one day and just choose to say fuck it all? That was this morning when I had enough of the bullshit - lack of respect, lack of assistance, hell even lack of common sense sometimes. That was when I realized I honestly did not care about things anymore and was ready to walk away with nothing just to be happy. It is always a kick to the nuts when you get migrated into the zone of no return. Open up slightly to let loose some of your worst fears and insecurities only to be handed walking papers.

It is always an odd feeling to wake up and be clear headed after so long. I guess the easiest way for me to explain what I mean by that is this…think about being in an almost constant state of brain fog then one day there is a gap in the clouds. There are times you know you need to do something and are ready to go…but cant due to some reason or another blocking your forward progression. Sometimes when I need to do the simplest of tasks it always felt like squirrel brain kicked in and then the shiny object would distract me…but the job got done.

Sometimes you get a chance to finally be able to say something you thought about repeatedly for hours on end and never thought you would get to vocalize. There is always that saying "some things are better left unsaid" but thankfully in this instance I was given the chance to say it after 49 long arduous days. There are certain things that happen in life for a reason and people come into your life for one reason or another. Every so often you come across a unicorn and it will take you by surprise when you least expect it.

Sitting here staring out the window wondering why I am still here. I look out at see the houses being built and all of the trees just slowly being removed. I remember being younger and sitting at my grandfathers house while it was being built in the middle of nowhere North Florida. I remember seeing the bricks being stacked and mortared to build the walls - the smell of crisp morning air and the fresh cut wood as they were framing things out. It’s weird how just a fleeting glimpse of an image can take you back somewhere and make you remember a different time in your life…the memories that bring back smells even if they’re not present.
