I really enjoyed the Earthbound USA documentary. What an amazing time capsule of what it was like to be on the Web 1.0 internet in the mid-90s; of unofficial fan pages and IRC and the communities that sprouted from things that we loved.
Much love to you, Jets. Thanks for a great season ❤️
NEW PIECE! - “Great Blue Heron”

Commissioned by the Georgian Bay District Secondary School Senior Concert Band, it follows the tumultuous migration of the Great Blue Heron, including the trepidation of leaving home and the hardship that takes us to our destination!

Take care, Nadia! Glad to hear that you got it looked at (and that it needs to come off). Sending good Canadian health care vibes your way 🍁
An incredible time capsule of a letter from the X-Mail segment of Uncanny X-Men 145: Comparing the very fresh deaths of John Lennon and Jean Grey.
New promo material from Alfred Music came in today! My Grade 1 work for concert band and optional 16-bit backing track, “To The Skies!” is available directly from the publisher or your favourite local music store!

Show me one picture from Star Trek that perfectly embodies your aura.
(Argh, “Alpha!” Damn spelling!)
And right after the Appha Flight / Wolverine / Wendigo run is one of the all-time great X-Men stories!
I really enjoyed this Alpha Flight / Wolverine / Wendigo run in Uncanny X-Men. I also appreciate how they never call the man in green by name, only the “prime minister,” but we know who he is, hahaha 😊
From the town where I grew up! In fact, this was my summer job from 2005-2008. I might think that the Viking Statue might be a bit more iconic, but I’ll take the lighthouse 😊

The premiere performance of “Arcadia,” my work for wind ensemble and retro video game consoles is up! The ASU Wind Ensemble absolutely knocked it out of the park 😊 Check it out! youtu.be/QwUpERa_O3k?...

TO THE SKIES!

My new Level 1 piece for concert band with MakeMusic/Alfred is out now! It has optional 16-bit backing track and the ensemble used it with all its SNES airship music inspired wonder.

My heart is so full after an incredible evening of music last night. Dr. Jason Caslor and the ASU Wind Ensemble knocked “Arcadia” out of the park last night and gave it a premiere full of life, energy, and joy. I’ll share more as the day goes on, but here’s a taste of the show last night 😊
The incredible Dr. Nora Wilson and I got to talk retro games, music composition, and “Arcadia Trombonica” with Brandon University!

Thanks! It is being both recorded and live streamed. I’ll make sure to post the link when I get it!
Slowly working my way through the Chris Claremont run of X-Men. Look out, Alberta, here they come.
Today I made the connection that Vindicator of Alpha Flight’s name is James Hudson, like the Hudson Bay and James Bay between Manitoba and Ontario 🍁
Does Phonogram qualify as a big Image comic? It’s old and had a short run, but I enjoyed it (though you would absolutely know more about their British music references than I ever could).
