On Saturday, Whitburn Community Development Trust's charity ball at the Hillcroft Hotel raised over £7,000 for local projects.

Today in Parliament, I gave thanks to Charlotte, David, & the team, and the former Directors, Ben & John, for their years of service to the community👇
Above is a snapshot of the many responses to our survey so far.

What you would do with £20 million for your community?

I have secured £20 million for community projects in West Lothian. One neighbourhood will be selected in due course. Most important is that you, the community, will inform where this money goes. Thinking caps on, link below 👇
An end to the killing and the hostage situation is immensely welcome, but the future remains uncertain. I intervened in the PM's statement to ask what efforts will be made to ensure the people of Gaza are safe and free to shape the future of their land.

Yesterday I spoke out about Drug Consumption Facilities in Scotland.

I raised my concerns with the Scottish Affairs Committee Chair that there is a significant shortfall of recovery spaces for those with drug addiction - one facility must not be at the expense of another 👇
The work by local charities and community organisations in supporting mental health and well-being has a vital role to play in our local towns and villages.

Some of the most heart breaking cases I deal with are those related to mental health. Too many people have either been unable to get help either for themselves or loved ones, or haven’t felt able to reach out and ask for help.
Parliament returns today after a busy few weeks in the constituency meeting local groups and organisations, as well as constituents.

Here’s a round up of what I got up to last week👇

Today I held a roundtable in the constituency focused on the issue of Endometriosis. This event was a vital opportunity for me to hear directly from those affected by this condition. I am committed to ensuring that their voices are heard and their experiences shape the

As your MP, I’m proud to stand up in Parliament to champion better mental health support for all. From pushing for increased funding for NHS mental health services, to holding the Scottish Government to account on waiting times and access, this is a fight I take seriously.

Given there are a number of different banks involved in the banking hub model (note these are not for profit), there are a various constraints including agreements around the specifications of premises, which limits the number of suitable locations.

The Hub is currently based at the Jim Walker Partnership Centre but will be relocating to Morrisons car park next year. I know the permanent location is causing concern to some residents. I have met with Gemma and the team on several occasions now and have put these points to them.

I even used the Hub myself to order a new bank card, sorted in just a few minutes by the friendly banker after weeks of frustration with my banking app! I was also able to speak to a few locals who have now built a visit to the Hub into their weekly routine.

These hubs are a lifeline for many in our community, especially when bank branches close in our towns and villages.

Gemma was able to tell me that over 100 people every single day are using the hub, particularly for cash withdrawals and deposits, as well as many other banking services.

Great to visit the Cash Access Hub in Bathgate today and meet Gemma from the team.

Earlier today I popped along to the temporary Cash Access Hub in Bathgate Partnership Centre to find out more about how it is operating to meet the banking needs of local constituents.
