To clarify I'm not in this for the ass pats, but when all you hear is complaints from people who do NOTHING to help others & only want more for themselves, it wears you down.

Make sure to let your event & community organizers know how you appreciate their time and efforts.

You try to do things for others all the time, but the moment you need to feel something back, or feel some ounce of validation for the work you've done, and it's met with crickets?

Well, find me someone who's willing to do that for as long as I have and is still around anymore.

I've done this for over 10 years, but lord almighty if I haven't hit my breaking point with people constantly complaining, and everyone just focused on themselves without consideration for others.

Maybe that's just my frustration with EVERYTHING lately, but I can't keep doing this.

After this next event I am hosting, I am going to step away from it for a bit.

I constantly push myself to create community and spaces for others to enjoy, and I just consistently get people complaining about wanting more & more without any thanks for the time, sweat, and tears I put into it.
