It’s #portfolioday you say? I’m Kit, I like drawing queers and monsters.
Inking up some Halloween flash!
It’s my face! With new glasses.
There comes a day when the sandwich lady asks ‘what can I get you, handsome?’, and it’s unclear whether she’s just being jovial or actually flirting, because you’re the same damn age.
It doesn’t happen near as often as I’d like, but being paid to draw comics is still the best feeling there is.
Wild riding to the shop today through clusters of the anti immigrant march. I can only imagine how it would feel if I was the wrong kind of immigrant.

A strange thing to claim to be defending Australian culture, when every period of the country’s history has been defined by stories of immigration.
Oh god, there’s already people making their identity out of being too cool to like Alien Earth.
That band isn’t punk! You can’t identify as this sexuality if you’re that gender! That’s not real sci-fi!

Everything’s made up you wretched dingbats. Do what you want.

Don’t be afraid to share your writing. There are six Sharknado movies.
Of all the creative fields I’ve dived into, nothing yet really beats being curled up in a duvet drawing comics like a dork.
As if I wasn’t already enjoying Alien: Earth, they pull a Tool track out of nowhere! Yeah, this is an annoyingly good show. Annoying because I have to wait a week between episodes. Also because it’s somehow both cheesy and smart, which really shouldn’t work, but does.
They May Be Giants! Had a blast doing this tattoo.

South Africans will say ‘Respectfully…’ before insulting you to your core, and reading you for filth.
Occasionally I’ll take on some private commissions, and one of my favourites is rpg characters. Here’s some I did for a crew playing Delta Green, which I understand to be a modern take on Call of Cthulhu. Really enjoyed doing this classic adventure comic style.
I had such a good time drawing and tattooing this punk rock Australian cockatoo. Custom pieces like this are so welcome!
The bar may be low, but sometimes you just know you’d be a better boyfriend than Johnny Depp, even when you’re not a boy. Had a blast doing this tattoo
A tattoo of a scroll, with the words ‘Winona Forever’
Ripley heard there might be chips?
Stoked I got to do this piece from my own flash!
Tattoo of a grumpy cat in a teacup covered in patterns of clouds, stars and skulls.
I’ve never been all that fond of the term saffa, but now that I’ve learned about seppo, I’m just fine with that. Australian slang doesn’t mess about.
Welp, it only took 7 years (thanks covid) but I’m officially permanently residing in you, Australia!
Matching metal horns from my flash!
Really wish the BBC would realise that they can cast a woman as Doctor Who, who isn’t blonde and conventionally pretty. If you can cast Capaldi, you can cast an older woman with some goddamn gravitas. Like Olivia Colman. Or finally give Jo Martin a proper run at the role.
