Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay from November 29, 1908.
In this installment, Flip picks up Nemo in his car to go for a drive. It turns out to be a rough trip, as Flip manages to hit both trash cans and a statue, and he drives over steps and up and down the sides of a tall building. They finally come to a river, which Flip drives into, and continues driving under water, before eventually surfacing, at which point Nemo wakes up in his bed at home.
