Pope Leo calls for ‘deep reflection’ about treatment of detained migrants in U.S.
“Many people who have lived for years and years and years, never causing problems, have been deeply affected by what is going on right now,” Chicago-born pope says.

Donald Trump lied when he pledged to make IVF available to every family for FREE.

His genius plan is to rip away health insurance from millions of people, and then politely ask companies to add IVF coverage out of the goodness of their hearts.

It's insulting—a broken promise.

Where's the rule of law? Where are the "dangerous criminals"? US citizens, including children, sick children held for days without access to a lawyer. 😡

"Among the citizens detained are nearly 20 children, including two with cancer."

That's who ICE arrested and disappeared as part of Donald Trump's immigration policy.

It's outrageous.

I've been pressing for answers and I'll keep pushing for accountability.

The fact that top Republicans are already fearmongering about, lying about, the No Kings rallies this Saturday, across the US, tells you how worried they are about public pressure and protest against their reactionary, autocratic, anti-American agenda.

For two excruciating years, I have called for the return of the hostages brutally kidnapped on October 7th and held in Gaza.

Today is a good day. Surviving Israeli hostages are finally home and reuniting with loved ones.

While major questions remain about the future of Hamas and Gaza, the exchange of hostages and prisoners marked a key step toward ending the deadliest war ever between Israel and the militant group.

Walmart and Navy Federal Credit Union were investigated for scamming consumers, but now they’re thanking Donald Trump for letting them off the hook.

Instead of lowering costs like he promised, Trump is standing in the way of cheated Americans getting their money back.

Pete Hegseth, the same guy who texted classified war plans to a reporter, wants to decide what the media can report at the Pentagon.

The First Amendment is clear: the government cannot stop a free press.

This order is unconstitutional and un-American.

Trump and Republicans got rid of the CFPB's $5 cap on overdraft fees, allowing big banks to keep raking in profits off of struggling Americans.

So just how much money are banks taking from consumers with these predatory fees?

@sanders.senate.gov, @blumenthal.senate.gov, and I are finding out.

Over the past three years, cases have more than doubled, with over 230,000 cases and nearly 5,000 deaths so far this year on the continent. Those cases are spread across 23 countries, up from 15 affected countries in 2022, according to Africa CDC.
An ancient disease makes yet another comeback
Why cholera is striking in Africa. It's a disease that's easy to control with proper treatment. But without medical care, patients can perish quickly.

After Donald Trump's massive tax handout to the rich in 2017, the wealthiest 400 Americans paid a lower tax rate than the average American family.

How is that fair?

Tax the rich and invest in lowering costs.
