Help support Norway's best gaming site! It's actually one of the best out there, period. There's even tons of cool articles in English, and everything is easily translated these days anyway. spillhistorie.no/2025/10/30/l...

What happens if you mix Obra Dinn, Golden Idol and The Last Express? Then you get The Séance of Blake Manor from @spookydoorway.bsky.social. I had some expectations since they made Darkside Detective, but wow, this is a really excellent game! Highly recommended for all aspiring detectives out there!

Keeper by @doublefine.com is absolutely gorgeous. The artistic direction and attention to detail is superb. I just wish the gameplay was given the same amount of love. The parts that are here are so simplistic. This game deserves more, and I expected more from a creative company like Double Fine.

Strong September, with games like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Strange Antiquities and Hades 2. Where will they all rank on my GOTY-list at the end of the year? Follow @spillhistorie.no to find out when 2026 is approaching. We even have lots of articles in English! #Silksong #StrangeAntiquities #Hades2

We have two major stories on Spillhistorie.no today, both available in English. The first is about SVHA Adventure, a unique version of Colossal Cave developed on a Norsk Data minicomputer in Norway in 1979. Lost and completely unknown until this year. We have the story & a playable version.

Another beautiful adventure game that originally never came out in English. The French game Black Sect is a 1993 remake of an 1990 Amstrad CPC game.

The remake came out for Amiga, Atari ST and DOS, and they all look great. Since then the game has had an English fan translation and a remake in AGS.

In the 00s, I played a lot of adventure games in German, because they were "all" from Germany at the time, and the English voice acting was usually awful.

I wonder, though, if there are any interesting adventure games from the 90s that were only in German.

People are raving about the RPGs of 2025, but adventure games are knocking them out of the park this year!

The Drifter is a great game that every adventure game fan should play. I hope @barney.powerhoof.com will continue to make them!

Nobody has managed to capture the feeling of melancholy in computer games the way that Benoît Sokal did. I love all the "unnecessary" attention to detail Microids always puts in their games too. Adds so much flavour. Great remake!

It doesn't matter where you're from. Gaming has always been universal.

Always nice to experience games that has a different perspective as well, and it's an enjoyable game too. Very cool graphics and excellent voice acting.

It has been a really good year for adventure games. Several of them look absolutely gorgeous as well. But I think the best looking game must be Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer. The world is so full of life. Very good game too!

Blue Prince. Will be very surprised if this isn't GOTY. I was worried the progression would be a bit random because of the room drafting, but it felt natural all the way to the "end". One of the best designed games of all time.

"Whenever I smell asphalt, I think of Maureen. That's the last sensation I had, before I blacked out: the thick smell of asphalt."

The start of Blue Prince makes me think of the intro to Full Throttle.

Rockford was maybe my sister's favourite game back in 1987. This Boulder Dash variant is not the best game in the world, but it had a certain charm. We used to just call it Rock. Can't remember why we called it that. Perhaps the exe-file was called "rock.exe".

Grand Prix 2 is the highest rated DOS game on MobyGames that is not an adventure game. It's easy to understand why. Still my favourite racing game, and it still looks and plays incredibly well.

I wonder why Obsidian has forgotten about their roleplaying roots. Now they seem determined to just make light RPGs. I miss the days when they didn't have time to make the game because of all the roleplay options. Avowed could have been made by anyone.
