I think his standup stuff is funnier.
Technically, I can't put these images in my #PaintedSkies project as they weren't shot from home (I may need to change the rules!) - but I couldn't not shoot these wonderful clouds while I was out yesterday.

Blummin' 'eck.

Just phoned to cancel a household service plan that was suddenly renewing at £44/month.

As a "valued customer", they could offer me the same plan at £19/month. Why the heck wasn't that the renewal price then!!

"Valued" = cash cow, it would seem.
This spot was sheltered from the wind last night. But halfway to the first outcrop I could barely stand against the gusts. Off to the right, the sky and light were incredible, but there was just no way to get a composition safely.

This was rather pretty though :)

Looks like a promising sky for this evening, but blow me down (literally) it's windy. The trick will be finding a spot safe enough to get the tripod out.

Totally agree - the days I struggle most are when I can't find the right music. I'm never sure if it's because my mood is off (so I'm just going to be unproductive no matter what), or if I just haven't found the music that will focus me in that headspace.
Cheers muchly Em :) Yeah, it's a good old wander, but one of my favourites for sure.
Ah, thanks very much indeed. That's really lovely feedback :)
It is - one of my favourite leg stretches :)
Woop - thanks to BAV Media... as seen in @theguardian.com!
Thanks very much :) it's a longer focal length than I'd usually go for, but the patch of cloud was the driving force behind it.
Last night's sunset from the #PeakDistrict was peaceful affair. Not much cloud around, but some very high wisps caught the light beautifully after the sun went down. The soft glow from the blue sky picked out the detail on the rocks, and in the heather and bilberry.

Thanks very much - It was lucky I had my tripod at hand!
Ok, turns out it was a @spacex.extwitter.link Falcon 9 dumping fuel.

What was very cool (to me) was that you could see the plume dropping into the earth's shadow (2nd pic)
Just grabbed this raw from the camera... Will post a processed version when I get home...
I swear I've just seen a rocket stage separation on my walk back to the car... Missed getting a shoy of that moment, but this beautiful Galaxy shape made it's way across the sky heading roughly SE

@spacex.extwitter.link? @esa.int? @nasawatch.bsky.social?

Was this any of you?
Just realised I meant skylarks, not nightingales.

My main point still stands :)
Couldn't resist a bit more of this today.

And I think I just heard my first curlew of the year. Love that sound. And the nightingales. And the grouse.

Love it up here.

One from last night's mooch in the Peak District, and realising how much I miss being out. There were some very lovely bursts of intense golden light at times which played wonderfully with the colours that were already in the landscape.
